PROUDLY GAY
We’re a unique gay male atmosphere, playing pop to dance, fresh to old-school and always camp classics.
The Peel is a proudly gay male venue and has an exemption from the equal opportunities commission (h142/2013) that allows it to legally discriminate.
We ask that, if you’re not a gay male, but are attending as the guest of one, please be respectful and mindful of your behaviour during your visit. The Peel's unique exemption makes for a great gay boy’s night out.
We have a busy dance floor, three bars and a covered heated outside courtyard, for those cool Melbourne nights. This means that you can cruise from one area to the next, throughout the night, into the wee hours.
You never know who you'll meet.

OUR NEIGHBOURS
Did you know that, the high pitched frequency of a female voice (and some drag queens), has been known to shatter glass windows, over 2km away? Well, at least next door, according to our neighbours lol
I’m sure it couldn't have anything to do with all our gay boys lol
Well honeys, please be aware that the very tired residents next door have jobs and busy lives – like all of us, they need their beauty sleep.
Our neighbours' sleep patterns are particularly sensitive to screams, frivolity, and are often disrupted by what is often describe as 'loud girly laughter' coming from our courtyard. It must be us boys after all lol
We ask all of you to please be mindful of our neighbours and be respectful while enjoying yourself in the courtyard and the streets, around the vicinity of the Peel.
Please come and go, from the area, with as little fuss as you can manage.
